With a sense of hopelessness in mind, I left the protective brick walls of my house to explore the neighborhood I once knew so well. As soon as I exited my doors, I found myself in a place I’ve never been before. While my neighborhood was overflowing with life and friendly attitudes before, not a drop of this culture was left. The more I walked, the more unfamiliar the land became. Unfamiliar head nods and hand waves had replaced the customary daps and hugs.
