As the end of the school year nears, I never thought I’d want to extend it any longer. But here I am wishing for a few more months or even weeks with my classmates. I’m not sure if we will ever get the proper goodbye we deserve, and I’m not sure that if we do get to say goodbye it will be the same, but I wish things happened differently. March 13 may have very well been the last day I walked the halls of the school, saw the faces of my classmates, and felt I was an actual student at my high school. Unexpected and unfortunate, my senior year definitely did not turn out as imagined. That being said, it reminded me how important it is to be grateful for the things we have, and the things we define as a normal life.
