Catherine Bloomer is the the Associate Director for creative writing education nonprofit WriteOn NYC. She holds a MFA in fiction from The New School, and she is currently a PhD candidate and Teaching Fellow in the Department of Italian and the Institute for Comparative Literature and Society at Columbia University. Her research interests include the body and gender in medieval literature, particularly Dante and Boccaccio, and the historical conception of disability.
